Welcome to Bangabandhu Primary School!

It is a privilege to be the Headteacher of a school with such a strong sense of community. Bangabandhu is a warm, inclusive and ambitious school where we want every child to feel that they belong, believe that they can achieve and have every opportunity to thrive.

Our vision is to provide an excellent education that opens doors for every child. We want our children to develop strong foundations for learning, a rich body of knowledge and vocabulary, curiosity about the world around them and the confidence to think, question and express their ideas. We have high expectations for all our pupils and are committed to ensuring that every child is supported and challenged to fulfil their potential.

We believe that children are most successful when they feel safe, known and valued. Bangabandhu is a wonderfully diverse community and inclusion is at the heart of our school. We celebrate what makes each child unique and work hard to identify and remove barriers so that every pupil can participate, learn and succeed.

Education is about more than academic achievement. We want our children to grow into confident, kind and responsible young people who understand their rights and responsibilities, value themselves and others, and are well prepared for the next stage of their lives. Through our curriculum and the wider opportunities we provide, we want children to discover their interests, develop their talents and understand the possibilities available to them.

Strong relationships with families are an important part of this. We value the knowledge parents and carers have of their children and believe that, by working together, we can give every child the strongest possible experience of school.
