Our School Uniform
Reception - Year 6 (5-11 years)
Pupils are required to wear the following school uniform:
- Black trousers or skirt
- Light blue polo shirt
- Red sweatshirt/cardigan – with school emblem
- Black trainers or shoes. Children should wear black trainers or shoes that allow them to run safely around the playground. Please do not allow children to wear crocs, sandals or flip flops that make running and climbing difficult. Please don’t let your child wear wellington boots, they offer limited support for growing feet and make running and climbing difficult.
- In the summer, black shorts and red or blue gingham sun dresses may be worn,
Uniform items with the school emblem are available at Khalsa Schoolwear (338-390 Bethnal Green Road E2 0AH). All other items are available from department stores and supermarkets.

Nursery (3-4 years)
Children are not required to wear school uniform in Nursery.
They should wear elasticated trousers and skirts (no tricky buttons or zips!). Their shoes should have velcro fastenings (no laces please!).
We also ask parents to provide a pair of wellington boots for outdoor play on wet days and for Forest School. Children will change into these, Please don’t send them to school wearing wellington boots, they offer limited support for growing feet and make running and climbing difficult.
Sports/PE Kits
Pupils are required to wear:
- Red T-shirt
- Black shorts (no tracksuits or leggings)
- Black trainers or plimsolls (outdoor PE only)
For swimming sessions children should pack swimming trunks or swimming costumes, a swimming hat and a towel. Goggles are optional.
We swim at York Hall and here is a list of appropriate swimwear that is acceptable in the pool.
Jewellery and Watches
- No jewellery should be worn with the exception of small stud earrings. These must be removed when swimming.
- No watches are to be worn as many watches now have features whereby photographs, phone calls, videos and voice notes can be made. They are a safeguarding risk.
